Dear Madam, dear Sir,
Amuse-bouche. The Taste of Art is the third art experiment at Museum Tinguely entering into the world of the human senses. These play an essential role in experiencing art. This time the exhibition focuses on the sense of taste. Does art taste sweet, sour, bitter, salty, or even umami? What role does our sense of taste play as an artistic material and in our social interactions?
Museum Tinguely cordially invites you to the press conference of the exhibition on Tuesday, 18 February 2020 at 10:30 am in Basel.
A short welcome by Roland Wetzel, Director of Museum Tinguely, will be followed by the performance of the Nigerian artist Otobong Nkanga Contained Measures of a Kolanut.
Afterwards, the curator of the exhibition, Annja Müller-Alsbach, invites you to explore the exhibition with her. The Swiss artist Claudia Vogel will be also present with her interactive project Tastescape.
The exhibition can be visited that day from 10 am onwards. For more details please read the press release. Images can be downloaded at the press section on our website.
We kindly ask you to register for the press preview and for any interview requests via e-mail.
The opening, to which we would also like to invite you, will take place the same evening at 6:30 pm.
If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. We will be happy to welcome you in Basel shortly.
Yours sincerely,
Isabelle Beilfuss
Head of communication, Museum Tinguely
