Does art taste sweet, sour, bitter, salty, or even umami? What role does our sense of taste play as an artistic material and in our social interactions?
AMUSE-BOUCHE. THE TASTE OF ART (19 February - 17 May 2020) is the third art experiment at Museum Tinguely entering into the world of the human senses.
Museum Tinguely cordially invites you to the press conference of the exhibition on Tuesday, 18 February 2020 at 10:30 am in Basel.
A short welcome by Roland Wetzel, Director of Museum Tinguely, will be followed by the performance of the Nigerian artist Otobong Nkanga Contained Measures of a Kolanut.
Afterwards, the curator of the exhibition, Annja Müller-Alsbach, invites you to explore the exhibition with her. Following artists will also be present: Marisa Benjamim, Constantino Ciervo, Alexandra Meyer, Nicolas Momein, Claudia Vogel and Michelin-starred chef Stefan Wiesner.
