In Tinguely’s footsteps between Paris, Amsterdam, and Basel

We are happy to inform you once again about the media previews of the following exhibitions: ÉCRITS D’ART BRUT and ET TOUT CECI EST VRAI!
to be held at Museum Tinguely on Tuesday, 19 October 2021, at 10:30 am.
Programme:

- Presentation of the exhibition «Et tout ceci est vrai!», Giorgio Bloch, visiting curator
- Presentation and guided tour through the exhibition «Écrits d’Art Brut», Lucienne Peiry, visiting curator
Both exhibitions will be open for your exclusive viewing as of 10 am.
In a major group exhibition, Museum Tinguely brings together the myriad writings of thirteen international Art Brut authors. The works from a dozen museums as well as public and private collections in Europe and Brazil are being shown together here in Switzerland for the first time. The documentary films and photographs flanking them portray these unusual creators in their own homes or at their place of work and so invite visitors to immerse themselves in worlds that were never intended for public consumption.

To mark 25 YEARS OF MOVING ART, Museum Tinguely presented the exhibition «Et tout ceci est vrai! In Tinguely’s footsteps between Paris, Amsterdam, and Basel» on board of the converted barge MS Evolutie which embarked on a great journey through Europe this summer. Now the trip has come to an end and the exhibition can be seen in Basel. It references the various stops on the Museum Tinguely AHOY! voyage by showcasing Jean Tinguely the artist and his art with photographs, writings, audio stations, films, and models as well as original works.

We would be grateful if you would confirm your intention to attend the press preview by 17 October. Museum Tinguely is subject to the Covid certificate requirement. Therefore, we ask you to present your certificate and your identity card at the entrance.
You are also cordially invited to attend the official opening of the two exhibitions at 6:30 pm on that same day. We are at your disposal should you require further information.
