This quartet was founded in 2001. Thanks to their magnificent quality, they have enjoyed great success since the outset, and are very highly regarded. New York-based saxophonist Chris Cheek has been regularly contributing his expertise to the formation since 2004. He is a master of clear and transparent playing, especially when it comes to complex pieces. With great unity and a fresh, pulsating sound, he joins the glorious, superbly harmonising quartet to interpret newer pieces by Daniel Schenker, most of which come from "Times of Innocence", the second album recorded in collaboration with Chris Cheek.
