An exploration of new and experimental realms that pay homage to the sounds of
South Africa.

Vimbs Mavimbs is driving the new wave of jazz in South
Africa forwards with calm persistence. As a sideman, he excels in a wide range of formats and
is seen as one of the most versatile musicians to emerge from the country in recent years. 
His debut album ‘Late Bloomer’ reflects the depth of an artistic voice that has had years to mature,
absorbing a wealth of culture, history, and technical skill
along the way. Via this project, we witness a musician
who has matured over time opening up his inner world to the audience.
