Family Sundays are inclusive events

A necklace made from car tires, rubber boots filled with concrete and office chairs that can draw - Delphine Reist takes objects from everyday working life and turns their function into the absurd. Let yourself be inspired by a broken bicycle tire to create a wide variety of creations in our drop-in workshop during our Family Sunday.

Temitayo Ogunbiyi. You will follow the Rhein and compose play

For the first time in Switzerland, Museum Tinguely presents a two-part project by Temitayo Ogunbiyi (born 1984), an artist based in Lagos, Nigeria. Since May, a work from Ogunbiyi’s Playground series has been installed in Solitude Park, a structure that invites people of all ages to move and interact socially while addressing issues including global networking, cultural exchange, migration and our treatment of the environment. In a playful presentation, the exhibition then offers a comprehensive overview of Ogunbiyi’s practice, featuring works made since 2016 as well as objects made specifically for the show, including musical instruments and works inspired by her research in Basel. The exhibition is created in collaboration with Culturescapes 2023 Sahara, which focuses on the Saharan space as the one where reconnecting and reimagining Africa is possible.
