City Legends

In cooperation with the radio school klipp+klang, we are inviting four school classes to make a radio production that breathes new life into a legend or legendary character from their neighbourhood or region. The design of the final version and the recordings will be made during a one-day workshop at Museum Tinguely. On Sunday, 25 November 2018, the school classes will present their productions as part of a public listening lounge to which their families are also invited.

21. - 23.11.: Your voice on the radio

Alongside the increasingly popular options for listening to radio on demand via programme subscriptions and podcasts, there is still much interest in conventional presented formats from both public and private broadcasters. For the audience, presenters are part of everyday life – at work, in the car, at home. What is it like to sit in a broadcasting studio and personally address an invisible listener? You can find out in the “Radiophonic Spaces” exhibition from Wednesday 21 to Friday 23 November (11.15 am to 5.30 pm, in the radio studio, with professional supervision). Registration at the museum.

Saturday, 24 November: Impro Radio Play

Is it possible to develop and realize a radio play in just a few minutes? Yes, that is precisely what happens with an improvised radio play! Visitors to Museum Tinguely spontaneously become part of the plot: in a small group, they will become participants and get the description of a character and his/her motivation. They embody the character in their own way, breathing life into the person and trying to achieve the set objectives. The resulting conversations and conflicts are recorded as a live radio play, creating a unique short story.

All museum visitors are invited to take part, no registration is required.
