Boxeo 34: Boxing and culture

Switzerland - Poland:
Boxeo is a unique event that combines boxing and culture in a very special way. The project was launched in 2001 by cultural workers and boxing friends. The latest issue is a collaboration between the Museum Tinguely, CULTURESCAPES and the Boxing Club Basel. In the boxing ring, the first female professional boxer Gabi «Balboa» Timar will fight another fight on her way to the title. In addition, there is an exciting relay fight between the Boxing Club Basel and the Boxing Club Kraukau. The actor Philippe Graff will accompany the Boxeo as a ring speaker.
Two renowned artists are responsible for the cultural section. The studied soprano and "Master of Arts" Eleonora Wojnar sings songs by Frédéric Chopin, accompanied by the award-winning pianist Joanna Krauze. A exciting event of culture and sport in the ring and in front of one of Jean Tinguely's masterpieces.
