DIY | Pedro Reyes Mandala

This mandala was inspired by Museum Tinguely’s exhibition, «Pedro Reyes. Return to Sender». Mexican artist Pedro Reyes transforms weapons into musical instruments and so elicits something hopeful from something evil. The colouring picture has been augmented by motifs from the Mexican feast day, ‘Dia de los Muertos’, the ‘Day of the Dead’ when people don colourful costumes, paint their faces and hold festivities to celebrate the deceased.
