Working with klipp+klang radio school and the education club of insieme Basel, Museum Tinguely is bringing the Happy Radio project to Basel for a course for the first time. Over the twelve evenings of the course, people with disabilities create a radio play as part of the “Radiophonic Spaces” exhibition. “Happy Radio” is an education and leisure offering from the radio school klipp+klang for people with impairments that strengthens participants on many levels. The radio work builds skills and integrates. In a unique way, this empowerment project gives the participants a voice. The name of the project – Happy Radio – was chosen by the course’s first group in Zürich: “Radio makes us happy. So this name fits,” said one participant. The course at Museum Tinguely lasts from October 2018 to January 2019 – people with and without disabilities are welcome.
