“la vita nuova” by Ben Rentz draws on surrealist ideas from the interwar period of the 20th century to explore the imaginative possibilities of artistic practice. Part of the research for this project involves an artistic engagement with the work of Jean Tinguely. To accompany this, on June 27 there will be a guided dance walk in and around the museum, juxtaposing Tinguely’s kinetic sculptures with moving bodies that reflect moments between stillness and movement.
